Why should you invest in a Sitter session?

Children grow and change so rapidly during their first year, and while you may have booked newborn and cake smash sessions, what about capturing all those precious moments in between?

Sitter sessions are typically scheduled between 6-9 months, when babies can confidently sit unaided. These sessions offer several advantages, as we can capture a greater variety of photos with them sitting independently, showcasing their developing milestones. At this stage, they ideally haven't yet reached the crawling or walking phase, making these sessions easier as they can't escape the set! 6-9 months is an ideal age range for sitter sessions, as their little personalities begin to shine through, resulting in adorable and cheeky smiles that will melt your heart.

When should you Book?

You have the flexibility to book your sitter session at any time. If you have already booked a newborn session with me and purchased the top newborn package, you will receive a £45 discount on your sitter session.

It is generally recommended to schedule sitter sessions between 6-9 months of age, when babies typically start sitting unaided. However, each baby develops at their own pace, so if your session is approaching and your child isn't yet sitting confidently unaided, we can reschedule the session. Please provide at least 48 hours' notice to avoid forfeiting your booking fee.

After booking your sitter session, you will receive a questionnaire via email. This questionnaire offers you the opportunity to communicate your specific desires and preferences for the session, ensuring that we tailor the experience to meet your expectations.

During The Session

During each sitter session, you can expect a diverse selection of outfits and props to create a variety of adorable looks.

All of my sitter session packages include the option for family images. While some parents may initially prefer to focus solely on the baby, I always encourage including family photos. In my experience, the majority of parents who were initially unsure about family images have ended up being delighted with the results. Family photos capture beautiful connections and create lasting memories that everyone can cherish. However, I respect individual preferences, and if you prefer to have the session solely focused on the baby, that is absolutely fine. My goal is to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable session that meets your desires and preferences.

After The Session

After the session, we will book an appointment for your viewing session (Usually for in 2-3 weeks time) so that you can come back into the studio to view your gallery. I’ll make you a cuppa and you can sit and view your gallery as a beautiful slideshow on the tv. We can talk about which images are your favourites and decide what package you’d like to go for and if there’s any prints or wall art you’d like, to be able to display the images in your home .
