Why should you invest in a outdoor session?

Outdoor sessions provide a wonderful alternative to studio sessions, offering a unique setting that often yields more natural and candid images. It's a great opportunity to capture the authentic beauty of your family, children, and even your beloved pets. With the freedom and beauty of the outdoors as our backdrop, we can create memorable photographs that showcase genuine moments and interactions. Whether it's a playful family session, a joyful children's shoot, or a heartwarming pet portrait, outdoor sessions offer a refreshing and vibrant atmosphere that adds an extra touch of magic to your images. Location

I have two primary shooting locations, both set in beautiful woodland settings in Edwinstowe. However, if you have a specific location in mind for your session, I am more than happy to accommodate your preference. Please note that for shoots conducted outside my regular location, a travel fee may be added. The exact fee will depend on the chosen location.

The first woodland location I use (Friars Park) offers a spacious field where dogs can freely roam and play to their heart's content. Additionally, there is a nearby park that serves as a fantastic incentive to get smiles and cooperation from children during the session. It's just a short walk from the car park.

The second woodland location I use is located in Sherwood forest, it involves more walking than my first location but offers beautiful settings and is much more secluded and private.

During The Session

The session typically lasts around 30 minutes, allowing us to explore and utilize a couple different areas to achieve a variety of shots. During outdoor sessions, I find that there are lots of opportunities to capture candid images, more so than in a studio setting. So, if your child prefers to run around and be full of energy instead of sitting still and smiling for the entire session, fret not! It provides a wonderful chance to capture your child just as they are. Personally, I adore candid photos as they capture authentic connections within a family. I find that these natural moments flow more effortlessly in an outdoor environment. Let's embrace the spontaneity and create beautiful, heartfelt images that reflect the true essence of your family.

After The Session

After the session, we will book an appointment for your viewing session in a couple weeks time so that you can come into the studio to view your gallery. I’ll make you a cuppa and you can sit and view your gallery as a beautiful slideshow on the tv. We can talk about which images are your favourites and decide what package you’d like to go for and if there’s any prints or wall art you’d like, to be able to display the images in your home .
